The Board of Advisors, empowered by the Episcopal Dioceses of Los Angeles and San Diego, is looking for an Executive Director to guide Camp Stevens through its next chapter.
What began as Episcopal youth camping trips in the 1930s became a permanent camp near San Diego. Wildfire destroyed an early site. Supporters bought the current property in the early 1950s and rebuilt, and over the decades came cabins, retreat lodges, a dining hall, a pool and an outdoor chapel.
Today Camp Stevens runs summer camp, family camp, retreats and outdoor education across more than 250 acres, at roughly 7,000 user days a year. Recent investment in facilities, a growing culture of philanthropy and ongoing organizational planning mean the next director joins an organization building on a solid foundation.

All of it serves one vision: a world of wholehearted belonging. Nurturing that is part of the job, not something the director does alongside it.

Experience in camping, outdoor education, retreat ministry, hospitality or faith-based organizations is welcome. None of it is required.
Send your resume, including contact information for three references, to stevens@kaleidoscopeinc.com. Questions go to the same address. Please don't call the camp office.
